The successful candidate will assume the role of the Traffic Management and Control System (TMCS) Engineer for a large tunnel infrastructure project in the State of New South Wales, Australia.

This role will be based in our North Sydney office.

 

What will be my responsibilities?

  • Ensure the identification, management and fulfilment of the System and Functional Requirements for the entire life cycle of the project (Design, Implementation and Testing).
  • Develop Substantial Detailed Design (SDD) and Final Detailed Design (FDD) documentations for TMCS systems ensuring it meets technical specifications of the project. TMCS systems includes below but not limited to:
    • Digital Video Management System
    • Automatic Vehicle Incident Detection System
    • Voice Communication System
    • Driver Advisory System
    • Vehicle Monitoring System
    • Tunnel Closure System
  • Ensure the identification and management of the system interfaces among the subsystems and external interfaces according to the project scope of work.
  • Participate System Engineering activities for the project (RAM & FMECA, Cyber Security Assessment etc).
  • Deploying, testing, configuring and upgrading TMCS system within the project scope of work.
  • Ensure the timely and effective performance of testing.
  • Recommending and assisting with the selection of relevant technologies and products for projects. Liaising with vendors if required.
  • Review vendor specifications, technical information, and data sheets ensuring requirement compliance.
  • Ensuring equipment configurations comply with technical specifications.

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Strong skills in system design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, reporting and administration.
  • At least 3-year experience in TMCS system design, deployment, testing and commissioning in tunnel project.
  • Good knowledge of TfNSW standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and keen analytical abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Growth forecasting.
