We are seeking a capable and proactive Team Lead to lead a cross-functional Scrum team delivering industrial-grade software for tunnel and traffic management systems. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for technical delivery, agile leadership, and team growth within your domain. You will be expected to lead by example while fostering a culture of excellence, learning, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Scrum team (developers, testers, DevOps).Mentor and provide direction to junior members of the team
- Prioritise tasks for team members based on project needs and timelines.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality software components within your domain.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement.
- Be accountable fordesign and implementation across:
- WinCC OA scripting and integration
- Node.js/TypeScript backend services
- React frontends and GIS/schematics interfaces
- Kubernetes/Docker deployments
- Collaborate with other team leads and stakeholders to align interfaces and dependencies.
- Drive a strong testing culture, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing across all phases of development.
- Collaborate closely with test engineers, QA teams, and system integrators during verification, validation, and site acceptance phases.
- Promote CI/CD, observability, and automation best practices.
- Support team hiring, onboarding, and capability building.
- Engage in incident reviews, quality audits, and post-deployment validations.
- Ensure documentation, configuration management, and handover procedures are adhered to.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience leading agile teams using Scrum or similar methodologies.
- Strong hands-on experience in modern software development, ideally across:
- Node.js/TypeScript
- Docker and Kubernetes
- React.js or other modern frontend frameworks
- GitOps, CI/CD (e.g., GitLab, ArgoCD)
- Exposure to SCADA systems, control systems, or industrial automation is a strong plus.
- Willingness and ability to learn WinCC OA and tunnelling/ITS systems rapidly.
- Understanding of systems integration, device telemetry, or alarm/notification frameworks.
- Experience working with safety-critical systems or under engineering standards is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Engineering or Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience with WinCC OA, OPC UA, MQTT, or PLC integration
- Familiarity with tunnel operations, ITS devices, or traffic control environments
- Scrum Master or Agile certification
