The successful candidate will assume the role of the Senior Test Engineer for a large tunnel infrastructure project in the State of New South Wales, Australia. This role will be based in our Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated testing strategies using BDD tools like Behave and Gherkin.
  • Create and maintain test scripts in Python to support integration, functional, and performance testing.
  • Integrate and manage test automation within GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Execute performance tests using JMeter and validate system behaviour under load.
  • Test applications communicating over OPC UA protocols to ensure interoperability and reliability.
  • Document test plans, results, and issues, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes to enhance product quality and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in Behave, Gherkin, Selenium, and Python.
  • Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD and integrating test automation into pipelines.
  • Familiarity with JMeter for performance testing.
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and own the testing lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of OPC UA protocols and their testing requirements is a plus.
