JOB SUMMARY

 The Warehouse Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials, ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse setting

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport Goods: Safely drive vehicles to deliver and pick up goods from warehouses, retail locations, or distribution centers.
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are handled properly to prevent damage.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, both received and delivered, and assist in inventory counts as needed.
• Route Planning: Review route sheets to establish daily delivery quotas and propose alterations when necessary.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Education and Experience:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• Experience: Previous experience as a warehouse driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Licensing: A clean driving record. Ideally licensed fork lift driver
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain records.

Work Environment:

• The role is primarily based in a warehouse setting, which may involve long hours of standing, lifting, and operating machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Yunex Traffic follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely for up to 50% of their scheduled time. Working collaboratively in the office allows for in-person group thinking and building on teamwork. Our positions are designed so that a person is within commuting distance from many of our regional offices within the United States.
