Planning & Scheduling Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled Planning & Scheduling Engineer to manage the planning, scheduling, and progress‑control functions for major road and tunnel projects in Singapore. This role is central to ensuring timely delivery of complex electrical & mechanical works in tunnels/highways including development of software and multi‑stakeholder coordination.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Baseline Programme Development
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 in accordance with customer’s planning requirements.
- Ensure planning deliverables reflect customer’s stringent safety, traffic, and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with customer’s project controls standards, reporting formats, and audit requirements.
- Maintain planning documentation, assumptions, and change logs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and digital tools.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Support project manager on tracking of progress of works against the approved baseline.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S‑curves, dashboards, and look‑ahead schedules for internal management and external reporting.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, slippages, and opportunities for acceleration.
- Support project leadership with scenario modelling and recovery plans.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Collaborate with design consultants, construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on planning deliverables.
- Support coordination with customer, relevant authorities, and other project contractors.
- Delay Analysis, EOT & Change Management
- Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies for delays related to design changes, utilities constraints, traffic approvals, or site conditions.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) submissions in accordance with contract requirements and industry‑accepted delay analysis methodologies.
- Support claims preparation with robust documentation and time‑impact assessments.
The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following experience & skills:
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience, with at least 3 years on major road infrastructure construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or a related field would be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Highly organised, detail oriented, and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.
- Comfortable working in fast paced, multi stakeholder environments.

- This role is based in Singapore.
- Candidates should be able to work independently and coordinate with teams, without requiring constant supervision.
- Able to work closely with software developers, system engineers, and project managers in a multidisciplinary team.
