Junior Procurement Officer – Singapore

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated supply chain professional to assist the Head of Procurement APAC. The candidate should possess solid fundamental purchasing knowledge, high adaptability to perform in regional environment, have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

 

The chosen candidate primary responsibility is to perform procurement and logistics tasks in both direct and indirect purchases for Singapore and Hong Kong.  Follow by supporting topics in Australia and China as required.

The successful candidate will join our Yunex Team and be based in our Singapore office at Raffles Place, reporting to Head of Procurement APAC.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end purchasing process including source, negotiate, evaluate and purchase orders of direct/indirect goods/services for Hong Kong and Singapore office
  • Raise Purchase Order, perform GR checks of goods/services, maintain records for Hong Kong and Singapore office.
  • Manage supplier registration, qualification and update of vendor master database for Singapore and Hong Kong.
  • Support Singapore project tenders in RFQ, evaluation and selection of suppliers
  • Perform price analysis and support development of benchmarking database in APAC.  
  • Support to prepare monthly procurement reports
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignment as required.

The successful candidate demonstrates following experience & skills:

  • Diploma qualified in Supply Chain Management or with 1 to 2 years’ experience in procurement role preferred.
  • Chinese and Cantonese language skill is preferred
  • Able to work independently.
  • Exceptional skills in MS offices
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytical tools, with experience on price benchmarking database and management. 
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative approach across diverse hierarchies and international teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build sound working relationships.
  • Strong SAP skills or relevant ERP tools
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willingness to grow with the business and take on leadership roles in the future.
  • Ability to prioritize urgent and important tasks effectively.
  • No travelling expected
