This role will require close working with other parts of the Consultancy Services team and the wider business, proving technical traffic engineering experience across a range of disciplines. This is a technical role but also requires liaison one to one with our customer base on a daily basis. This senior role involves working on complex traffic engineering projects without supervision and managing projects through to customer approval.

 
Responsibilities & Opportunities:

• Lead the way in delivering top-notch traffic engineering projects across the UK, aligning with national/local standards, guidance, and best practices
• Drive projects using ergonomic, economic, and sustainable principles for last        ing impact
• Champion risk assessment and mitigation for seamless project execution
• Lead site visits, validations, and client interactions.
• Write technical reports and specifications that drive innovation
• Ensure impeccable traffic engineering schemes through thorough technical checks and approvals
• Craft winning consultancy/design quotations
• You will lead project and track financials, steering projects towards success

Skills & Qualifications:

• Thrive on cracking complex traffic engineering challenges while exceeding customer expectations
• Excel in meeting deadlines while managing your own and the team's workload

Experience that Sets You Apart:

• In depth knowledge of traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards
• Proficient in traffic engineering software (AutoCAD, KeySignals) and modeling tools (LinSig, Transyt)
• Extensive knowledge of diverse traffic signal products and industry trends.
• Substantive knowledge and experience using systems like UTC, UTMC, and adaptive control strategies (SCOOT, MOVA)
• A track record in setting up and validating adaptive control strategies on-site
• Proven track record in conducting Factory and Site Acceptance Testing
