Responsibilities:
- Determine production methods and fixtures
- Carry out modifications to sketch level information
- Competently wires to wiring diagrams
- Carry out pre-production work with support of Engineering
- Can configure products within the product range
- Works with prototype information to build new products and equipment
- Carries out test procedures for some types of equipment using the appropriate test equipment.
- Keep a written record of test results as required.
- May be required to keep a log of and report on changes needed to the various forms of assembly documentation as may be appropriate.
- Inspect electronic equipment to relevant specifications and standards, recording results as required.
- Prepare equipment for despatch
Qualifications & Experience:
- C&G level or above in an Electrical/Electronics discipline, or appropriate work experience may negate the need for formal qualifications.
- May be required to manage a particular batch of product for Manufacture / test / repair
- Record and capture quality data
- Manage calibration of shop floor equipment
- Train others in all aspects of the role
- Assist in writing or modifying Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or drawing aids (to be approved by technical support)
