About the Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Yunex Traffic, you'll be the mastermind behind the seamless transition from design to production. Your expertise in mechanical product assembly will be key to revolutionizing our manufacturing processes and implementing cutting-edge techniques and tooling. You'll be part of a fun, collaborative team that prides itself on quality, problem-solving, and driving cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the introduction of new products, determining efficient methods and guiding the design/production team.
- Conduct structured problem-solving for production-related issues.
- Participate in cost reduction exercises and introduce new processes, techniques, and tooling.
- Provide training and guidance to other operators on production-related topics.
- Act as the primary interface between manufacturing and other business functions.
- Encourage and support the best use of business resources to achieve objectives.
- Generate estimates, control, and monitor costs for job functions.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Take an active role in Health and Safety matters.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing techniques.
- Analyse and plan workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
- Advise the Engineering team on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested within the role's scope.
What We're Looking For:
Educational Requirements:
- HNC/Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or a similar field (desirable).
Competencies:
- Awareness of modern manufacturing practices and processes.
- Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong teamwork skills, effective communication, and high team morale.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing for system assembly (desirable).
- Experience in a similar role (desirable).
- CAD Solidworks experience (desirable)
