This includes intersection and pedestrian traffic controllers, intelligent urban traffic control systems, variable message signs, public transport, and car park guidance systems to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in congested urban and inter-urban areas.

Part of being a #TrafficTransformer apprentice at Yunex Traffic means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey, and often experiencing different areas within the business.

 

Our apprentices get the opportunity to find their passion and in turn, we get their passion.  We’re always looking for apprentices who want to make a difference to the world we live in.

 

This will be a 2 year apprenticeship where you will complete the L2 engineering Operative Standard. The established two-year training programme gives an introduction into Yunex Traffic and specifically our award winning manufacturing facility. You will gain an understanding in mechanical assembly and a basic insight into electronics. Also, you will achieve a NVQ Level 2 through day release at college. During your two years, you will have placements in various areas including Printed Circuit Board and Product Assembly, Logistics and Repair Centre areas. At the end of your two years, you will be fully competent in all aspects of Manufacturing at Poole.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 3 and above, including English and Maths
  •  A relevant foundation level qualification will be considered

Recruitment Process

Applications for our apprenticeships will close between 28 Feb – 18 March 2024.

 

We will be holding in-person 'Getting to know Yu' days between mid February – early March 2024 which will allow candidates the best opportunity to showcase their potential and suitability for this role by using a variety of assessment types.  This session will be held in an afternoon or morning slot and will typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. For some roles, there will also be an initial video (Microsoft Teams) or telephone interview - these are likely to be held during February 2024, before the Getting to Know Yu day. These interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.

 

Our Apprentices will join the business on 19th August 2024 so you must be available from this date.
