Responsibilities:
- Consult on, develop and implement regional Civils & Installations commodity strategies that meets Yunex and our Customer’s needs, support business growth, cost control, and promotes supply chain resilience.
- Evaluate and recommend Civils & Installations contractors in line with the regional strategy and onboard those who are selected as new suppliers
- Manage, develop and extend existing framework agreements and call-off contracts with suppliers, ensuring agreements are structured for risk mitigation, commercial viability, compliance, social value and sustainability.
- Generate RFP templates based on customer requirements and evaluation methodologies that allow for consistent and comparative evaluations of the quotes received from multiple suppliers for an opportunity.
- Support Sales & Tendering teams bidding customer-facing opportunities with accurate costs, rate inclusions/exclusions, and subcontractor engagement plans and provide tailored contract management and risk mitigation strategies to align with those customer contracts
- Evaluate, and manage supplier performance to maintain a cost-effective, reliable and resilient supply chain.
- Monitor market conditions and market developments to ensure Yunex Traffic continues to receive the best quality commodity offering from the supply chain
- Implement cost tracking and efficiency reporting frameworks to ensure price stability and project cost control.
- Provide commercial support and training to internal stakeholders, ensuring best practices and contractual risks are understood.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in subcontractor management, procurement, or commercial management within construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in framework agreements, NEC contracts, and subcontractor risk management.
- Knowledge of pricing structures and cost recovery models.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence teams across Sales, Project Delivery, Legal, HSQE, and Finance.
- Familiarity with UK procurement legislation, CDM regulations, and construction frameworks.
