HSQE Regional Advisor

This is a regional role looking after our Northern region. The role location is site independant, but would require travel and visits to our Northern site locations so you will be ideally based in Manchester/North West, Yorkshire or the Central Belt of Scotland.

Your Role

You’ll support the Yunex management team and the wider HSQE team regionally with some input nationally, ensuring that health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met and exceeded.

  • Location: Northern England or Central Scotland
  • Travel: Regular travel across the region with occasional overnight stays

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Management: Support and facilitate effective and proportionate management of HSQE across the North Region.
  • Relationship Building: Develop positive and proactive business relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice, coaching, training, and support delivery of risk management programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve implementation of risk assessments, work instructions, and KPIs.
  • Incident Management: Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Assist in maintaining ISO and FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) accreditation and support internal and external audits.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Recent and demonstrable experience as an HSQE Advisor.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in health and safety (essential); Level 6 (preferred).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, proactive support, and ability to act as a role model.
  • Expertise: Subject matter expert with specialist advice and support capabilities.
  • Professional Membership: Membership of an appropriate professional body; Chartered membership (desirable).
