We have a newly created opportunity for a HR Generalist to join our fast-growing organization and work closely with HR Manager and business leaders in Melbourne. This position is based in our Melbourne CBD office. The successful candidate will be responsible for HR end to end service of region Melbourne and may extended to other regions directly reporting to HR Manager.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and support the HR Manager on HR initiatives across all Australian businesses, mainly in Melbourne office.
  • Implement HR activities such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, performance management and other employee relations matters.
  • First point of contact for HR advice on Employment legislation, HR system operations, HR policies and processes, Employee Well-being program, etc.
  • Assist with negotiating enterprise agreements with the management teams.
  • Maintain HRIS (Success Factors) with new hires and employee data changes
  • Support capability development initiatives, including training.
  • Provide support to the management team and implement HR programs from the organizational strategy.
  • Willingness to optimise processes and strive for continuous improvement.

 

 

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (HR, industrial relations, business management, law).
  • 3+ years' experience in a HR generalist role gained from a sizable company, ideally Engineering or similar.
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment legislation such as Modern Awards and the Fair Work Act.
  • Experience with EBA establishment and execution is preferred.
  • Strong MS Office skills are mandatory, further knowledge of HRIS such as Success Factors will be of advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ownership culture with the ability to work independently.
  • Can-do attitude, with initiative and efficiency.
