What awaits you?

An exciting opportunity to join the Global Commodity Management team as the Global Commodity Manager (GCM). Our global Indirect Materials organization spans across 25 countries. As the subject matter expert, you will develop, set and own the strategic direction for the Professional Services commodity in line with our business requirements. You will have the responsibility for the total Purchasing Volume (PVO) and you will align the commodity strategy closely with our stakeholder. This is an opportunity to shape, further develop the Professional Services Commodity, and the Global Commodity Team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead and manage the global Professional Services commodity (incl. Temp Labor, Contingent Workforce Management, Consulting, HR Services, Legal Advisory, etc.)
• Align business needs and commodity strategies closely with relevant stakeholders
• Develop, implement and continuously improve the strategy.
• Design and implement an External Workforce Policy in close alignment with internal stakeholders i.e. Human Resources, Legal etc.
• Responsible for contracting strategy, negotiating framework agreements, NDAs, T’s&C’s etc.
• Lead relevant e-auction events for your commodity.
• Report on market trends, supply chain risks and savings
• Supplier Management: supplier prequalification, supplier selection, supplier qualification and supplier development.
• Contribute to the overall development of the Global Commodity Team e.g.  implementation of e-procurement tools, continuous improvement and lean principles.

Qualifications & Experience: 

• University degree in law, business administration, or a related field; MCIPS/CIPS certification preferred or equivalent practical experience
• Extensive experience in Category or Commodity Management within Indirect Procurement, ideally in global, multinational, and multi-site organizations
• Deep expertise in Professional Services procurement, including contingent workforce, temporary labor, consulting, HR services, and legal advisory
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with proven stakeholder management across complex organizational structures
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic development
• Proficiency in procurement systems, such as SAP, Oracle, and e-procurement tools (e.g. e-Auctions)
• Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus but not mandatory
