We have a fantastic opportunity for a competent and motivated Electrical Installation Supervisor to join our team in our depot in Crawley, supporting our customers in the Home counties. You’ll have line-management responsibility for a small team of engineers, operatives, and technicians. You’ll organise and schedule on a reactive basis onsite activities associated with the installation, refurbishment and modification of traffic signals, ancillary equipment and highways systems. Your varied work will cover a full range of technologies and provide opportunities for teamwork, problem solving, learning and growth.

 

What will you do?

  • You’ll be installing traffic signal assets (including the installation and wiring of controllers), ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems across multiple sites
  • Lead, motivate and line-manage a small team on site and in the depot to ensure work is completed
  • Complete electrical tests and pre-commissioning checks and be able to troubleshoot when needed
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders onsite and digitally
  • Ensure your team’s work is completed safely, to a high standard, within specification, and on time
  • Be responsible for delivering and ensuring attendance at site
  • Ensure stock is organised, booked accurately and available for installation
  • Out of hours working to support service and contract requirements
  • Monitor and promote health and safety practices and reporting within the team

 

Who are you?

  • You’ve have leadership and team management experience and enjoy motivating and educating others.
  • You're able to manage multiple complex tasks, staff and organise materials, employees and sub-contractors in a fast paced delivery environment.
  • You’re able to communicate clearly, work well with other at all levels.
  • Must hold full UK Driving License and we provide a company car and tools for the job.
  • Understanding of safe working practices and Health and safety.
