What awaits you?

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable IT System Engineer to join our Electronic Tolling Operations and Maintenance team in Bratislava. This role supports tolling infrastructure across Europe and requires a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to respond to critical system needs — anytime, anywhere.

What will be your mission?

• Deploy, configure, and manage applications and system changes across tolling platforms.
• Maintain system integrity, performance, and security across production and test environments.
• Support European end customers via ticketing systems and direct communication with partners.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call emergency support rotation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement updates and enhancements.
• Document system configurations, operational procedures, and incident reports.

Your daily Tasks

• Handle application deployments and configuration updates.
• Respond to and resolve customer tickets and incidents.
• Coordinate with sub-suppliers and customers to ensure seamless system operations.
• Perform system health checks and apply patches or upgrades.
• Participate in change management and release planning.
• Maintain logs and reports for various purposes.

What do you need to become a team member?

• University degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in system administration, application deployment or IT operations.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, DBs and scripting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving system requirements.
• Experience with monitoring systems and cloud platforms is welcomed.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
• Calm and effective under pressure, especially during emergencies.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Fluent in English.
