Electrical Installation Support Engineer

Based out of our Bristol Depot, we’re looking for an Electrical Installation Support Engineer. You’ll provide technical support to Installation and Maintenance employees in fault diagnosis on traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems. If you enjoy learning on the job, working on both in the depot and on site and being able to deliver good quality work to customers, we want to hear from you.

Traffic signal experience would be advantageous but not essential full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with an excellent work ethic, who’s flexible and keen to learn and we can support and train you and give you a career in the traffic signals industry.

 

What will you do?

· Provide technical support for a variety of traffic signal assets and/or highways systems

· Undertake configuration and commissioning of traffic signal installations and other products

· Routine and corrective maintenance, periodic inspections and electrical testing of equipment

· Support installation of traffic signal assets and provide expert knowledge to colleagues

· Complete mandatory product training and industry and highways sector scheme accreditation

· Be aware of safety at work and be alert in identifying potential hazards by removing or minimizing them

 

Who are you?

· You enjoy learning new activities, picking up new jobs confidently and working flexibly

· You have an electrical qualification or experience in installation, maintenance and/or testing of equipment

· You have experience in fault finding and resolution and thrive on solving problems

· You have good attention and can remain focused and calm under pressure

· You’re helpful and willing to use your own initiative

· You’re highly collaborative, enjoy working on site and in a depot and can be a proactive team member

· You need a full driving licence and be based within commutable distance from Enfield or Tower Hamlets
