Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, Traffic Services Commercial Management has responsibility for the financial success of their assigned traffic services sales offices/territories. The role reports to the Traffic Services Commercial Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Profit Center and Cost Center performance controlling for assigned sales offices/territories - developing plans, budgets and forecasts; continuous monitoring of orders, contract base and project backlog, revenue, inventory, pricing, cost, billings and collections
- Identify risks and opportunities, and drive initiatives to ensure financial performance to meet targets and KPI’s and continuously improve the business
- Analyze and evaluate cost structures – including building, maintaining, and improving the dependent cost accounting/ERP system
- Identify and resolve critical barriers/core problems by applying problem solving skills to deal creatively with most situations
- Perform sophisticated financial analyses, prepare related presentations, and present results to provide financial transparency, propose improvement activities and address issues
- Ensures that financial data is in line with internal and external regulations and guidelines such as Financial Reporting Guidelines
- Support collections of outstanding A/R
- Review and approve Customer Purchase Orders and create sales orders
- Review and approve invoices for billing accuracy and ensure proper supporting documents are provided timely and accurately
- Point of contact for all commercial and financial topics for the sales office/territory
- Continuous monitoring of Service Contracts in terms of cost (labor hours, material confirmation, fleet cost), billings and gross margin performance against plan.
- Cost center controlling incl. continuous monitoring of costs and preparation of cost center plans.
- Review and approve invoices for billing accuracy and ensure proper supporting documents are provided timely and accurately
- Review of job estimates/new opportunities from a commercial point of view.
- Effectively coaches and communicates with team members
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience performing system testing in an industrial environment
- Bachelors degree in Finance and Accounting field or related degree
- 5+ years experience in commercial management, financial analysis, or performance controlling
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required
- ERP experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter and great team player
- Experience in field/service operations or traffic industry background
- SAP experience
KSA( Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Measurement & reporting (financial statements, tax, compliance; clarity for stakeholders)
- Knowledge: Current GAAP/SEC/PCAOB developments; internal control frameworks; emerging tech/AI in finance
- Skills: Financial modeling, variance analysis, research/interpretation of authoritative guidance, data visualization
- Abilities: Ethical leadership, collaboration, communication tailored to executives/boards
