Position Overview
In this position it will be your task to ensure that product quality standards are upheld. You will be responsible for running standard tests, reporting quality metrics and working with production staff to ensure Yunex products are of the highest quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for enforcing work instructions and working with Yunex engineers to audit production staff against work instructions and then correcting any deviations or helping engineering teams to update work instructions to facilitate better quality or efficiency of production. We expect the technician to have an eye for detail and be organized, as well as promote safety and a healthy working culture... You will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products that enhance the lives of our customers, all while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. You must be able to continually learn and understand new tech to match the adaptation of production
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Manufacturing, the position’s primary focus is quality, from process, assembly of our products, testing, delivery, communication with both internal partners and external customers.
- Enforce product assembly work instructions and perform regular audits with production staff against work instructions.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures and assembly work instructions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications
- Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards. Ensure others on the production floor are also logging data correctly.
- Maintain a system for collecting and analyzing quality assurance data/KPIs.
- Complete quality reports and documentation including Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Reports, Preventative Action Reports.
- Evaluate tests and provide feedback for test and quality control plan improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to evaluate product quality and performance. Ensure proper calibration and safe use of this equipment.
- Test trial products during development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Five years’ experience in a manufacturing quality environment
- Five years’ experience in developing training programs and writing policies and procedures.
- Very strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with quality standards and methodologies, such as ISO or Six Sigma
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., CQI, CQT)
Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Experience using mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, ratios, fractions, and proportions
- Ability to define problems verbally and in writing
- Experience analyzing data and drawing valid conclusions from that data
