In this exciting environment an opportunity is available for a Proposal Writer to join our team in Austin, Texas.


Position Overview


We are looking for a Proposal Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our proposals. You will join a team of talented transportation leaders in senior management, business development, procurement management and bid management who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.



  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality proposals that meet applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Combine input from multiple team members and your technical acumen to create an easy-to-understand proposal focused on the proper marketing message.
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Create and maintain the information base


Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience in proposal writing
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on MS Word and PowerPoint
  • This role demands effective collaboration and strong interpersonal skills to meet challenging deadlines and highly technical concepts. This role also requires thought leadership in the respective solution space, applying best practices in the ITS industry, leadership and communication skills as well as a strong background in related fields. 
  • The successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality content while paying attention to detail and quickly grasping complex topics.
  • To efficiently communicate with a variety of users, you will need expertise in writing for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also be responsible for continuously editing and revising content to ensure users have the best possible experience with a changing digital product.


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing Communications, or Journalism
  • Based in Austin, Texas
  • Up to 10% travel within the U.S
