As the Manufacturing Operation Manager at Yunex Traffic, you will be responsible for all manufacturing processes using lean management principles at our Austin, Texas location. You will supervise and direct the technical personnel responsible for every production stage to ensure the manufacture of high-quality and cost-effective products. In this role, you will oversee the planning and organization of a production process and ensure the availability of the necessary material, equipment, and labor resources required to meet and exceed downstream customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement defined overall production standards and oversee and manage all production operations within a single plant or site
- Track production against assigned revenue and shipment targets assigned by the leadership team.
- Develop reporting systems and key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, quality, RMA status and report to the leadership team at regular intervals
- Develop and maintain product repair program and execute against assigned repair targets.
- Identify improvements on existing production processes and submit to leadership leading-edge improvements as requirements
- Prepare cost estimates and budget requirements for manufacturing that include all resources in the manufacturing process. Ensure labor levels meet planned requirements.
- Form a training and development plan for manufacturing personnel.
- Conduct inspections to ensure production machinery is operational and efficient.
- Proactively address Non-Conformance Reporting (NCRs) to closure.
- Facilitate maintenance, repair, or replacement of damaged manufacturingequipment.
- Establish, maintain, and ensure production complies with work instructions and strict quality control measures.
- Consult with other department heads, such as the Heads of Quality, Engineering, Finance and Sales, to ensure the highest quality of finished products.
- In fulfilling this role, you ensure that manufacturing and production personnel comply with set health and safety policies when performing job duties.
- Organize training programs to enhance personnel job skills and knowledge.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (desired manufacturing, engineering, or business administration) – experience may substitute for having a degree (one-for-one).
- 3+ years supervising the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and schedule at or above the manager level.
- Oversee the hiring, orientation, and training of technical production employees to ensure a skilled workforce in a learning company culture.
- Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems.
