Senior Project Manager Portugal

We are looking for an experienced and highly qualified Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for leading and coordinating complex projects. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, setting goals and objectives, allocating resources, managing risks, supervising teams and, ultimately, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, with the quality and scope expected.

What will be your responsibilities?

• You will ead multidisciplinary teams, motivating and inspiring team members to achieve project objectives;
• You will communicate effectively, clearly and concisely with all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone understands the scope, objectives and progress of the project;
• You will develop and defend a strategic vision for the project: ability to develop and articulate a clear vision of the project, aligned with organizational and strategic objectives;
• You will solve problems: This means you are capable of identifying and solving problems efficiently, adapting quickly to changes and unforeseen events during the project life cycle;
• You will handle risks: You must anticipate, assess and mitigate risks associated with the project, ensuring that they are minimized or eliminated;
• You will take decisions: You will take difficult but informed decisions, considering all aspects of the project and their possible implications;
• You will be result driven: Your focus on achieving the project's objectives within the established timeframe and budget, without compromising the quality of the work, will be top of your mind;
• You will manage all stakeholder, managing and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project, ensuring the ongoing support and collaboration of all those involved;
• You will bring and further develop technical knowledge: We need your solid knowledge of project management principles and practices, as well as familiarity with the latest tools and techniques in the field.

What do you need to qualify for this position?

We are looking for someone who likes to be part of a team. A professional who approaches every problem as a challenge. You like to constantly expand and deepen your knowledge and you are a real team player and focused on results. This means that you’re able to look beyond your own scope: after all, you’re working together.

In addition you have:

• A degree in engineering, preferably electrotechnical;
• Membership of the Order of Engineers (preferred);
• Certification in project management (IPMA or PMI, with preference for IPMA)
• 5-7 years proven experience in project management;
• Very solid knowledge of project management methodologies, including project planning, execution, and monitoring;
• Experience with MS Office and further project management tools is required;
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Team oriented, flexibility and ability to work under pressure, in a challenging environment.
