We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Tactical Buyer to be responsible for purchasing quality products for our business. Your responsibilities will include issuing purchase orders, managing supplier communications with suppliers tracking orders to ensure on-time delivery and goods receipt and invoice reconciliation. The buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to make purchase decisions based on demand.

 

Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders based on project, inventory and manufacturing demand using SAP.
  • Establish top priorities relevant to expedites and pushouts.
  • Provide detailed information on expected availability of materials.
  • Develop effective communication with requisitioners and suppliers.
  • Vendor onboarding and updates using internal tools and processes.
  • Work with manufacturing team to process RMAs and ensure credit receipt.
  • Accounts Payable Reconciliation
  • Ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure process efficiency and compliance (e.g. Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Global Procurement guidelines etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Develop an efficient system for monitoring purchase orders.
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience or education in the areas of Supply Chain Management and customer support with a demonstrable understanding of business operational activities.
  • Proficiency with SAP preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) required.
  • Interpersonal skills including attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Education: 

A relevant degree or certification in supply chain management, business, or a related field
